The Heat have been signing veterans since the beginning of the season hoping to find the right mix for the South Beach NWO. The latest being Mike Bibby fresh off his buy out from the Wizards.
This isn’t the Sacramento Kings version of Mike Bibby or even the early Hawks version, but better than what they had.
The Miami Heat announced today that they have signed free agent guard Mike Bibby. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We want to welcome Mike Bibby as we continue to move into the direction of our championship dreams,” said Heat President Pat Riley. “We feel Mike, with his vast postseason experience, long range game and point guard abilities, will give us a boost in the backcourt.”
Defensively he is a liability, but he has playoff experience.
Will it make the difference in the Heat winning a title or not, probably not, but it can’t hurt.
