Continuing the break a law a day trend in the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel has been arrested. Courtesy of our friends at profootballtalk.com, Vrabel was arrested for theft at the Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana. The theft charge is a class D felony under Indiana law. The jail wasn’t able to disclose any further details of the crime, but they were able to confirm that the arrested party is the touchdown catching linebacker.
While it is highly unlikely that Vrabel will receive any jail time for the offense if convicted, the whole arrest saga just serves as another blow to the already tainted image of the NFL player. Although the daily legal infractions from players have nothing to do with the lockout , negative news can and will hurt the player image in the public’s court of blame.
