If I was the Bengals I would call Palmer’s bluff and see if he retires. Sometimes you have to make a stand as a franchise and not continue to get run over by players.
The Bengals are good at taking shots at easy targets like Chad OchoCinco, but with Palmer they seem to think the best strategy is to kiss his ass and hope he comes back.

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Palmer has found a buyer for his home, a five-bedroom, 5.5-bath bungalow with an asking price of $2.1 million.
Palmer wants to be traded, and he plans to retire if he isn’t.
If the Bengals were to trade Palmer, if they don’t get a premium bounty then it will be a fail on their part.
