Thank the Lord for Charles Barkley.
Chuck sometimes is the only person in media who uses common sense at times. Announcing your are gay seems to be a new trend, even though I am not sure you need to announce that, but nevertheless it is a hot topic.
Barkley gives his take on gays in the NBA.
Barkley told Washington Post columnist Mike Wise that he’s sure he’s played with gay teammates “on two of three teams I played on,” and that “Every player has played with gay guys.”
Also weary of the perception that a majority of straight male athletes are intensely homophobic, Barkley said gay players pose no problem, adding, “Man, we need to outlaw guys who suck at sports.”
“I’d rather have a gay guy who can play than a straight guy who can’t play.”
There you have it, pure common sense at its finest.
I find it funny and also hypocritical that half the WNBA players are gay or bi-sexual and no one cares, but there would be a national uproar if a NBA or NFL Player said he was gay.
Who cares, as long as you can play that is all that matters.
Furthermore someone’s sexual orientation shouldn’t have any affect over you. It is a dumb homophobic mentality that needs to be eliminated from our society.
You don’t have to agree with the lifestyle, but it isn’t your lifestyle to live. I don’t think guys should have tats of ice cream on their face, but you don’t see me out protesting, it is their face, not mine.
Grow up, treat people gay, straight or Avatar Bosh how you would want to be treated.
