I never figured the NBA as a place where guys would take steroids. It is a game a speed and fluidity steroids help with power and muscle mass.
With that being said I’ve heard steroids help with stamina and lung capacity which could be beneficial to a NBA player. Here is what Derrick Rose had to say.
In a survey of PED use in various sports in the May 16 issue of ESPN: The Magazine, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was asked to rank its prevalance on a scale of 1-10, with one signifying “What are PEDs?” and 10 meaning “Everybody’s juicing!”
Rose’s response: “Seven. It’s huge and I think we need a level playing field, where nobody has that advantage over the next person.”
I am not sure where Derrick Rose is getting his information from or he knows something that we don’t but if that is true that is definitely a problem.
In the NBA though no one seems to care. Rashard Lewis was caught using and no one blinked an eye even when his performance dramatically declined after he was caught.
It seems only baseball makes it into a super big deal and David Stern won’t care until it starts hurting his bottom line.
