Dwyane Wade’s Son Re-enacts Taj Gibson’s Dunk With Dad

Taj Gibson’s soul-stealing dunk over Dwyane Wade during Game One of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday has been talked about nearly as much (or maybe even more) than the Bulls’ eventual 103-82 win over the Heat.

It’s no surprise that it will take some time for D-Wade to live that down on Twitter. But you’d think he wouldn’t have to deal with it at home. You’d be wrong.

Via Twitter:

I had 2 laugh at ths..I was playing my oldest son Zaire on his nerf rim & he dunked & said Gibson while screaming..L2MS Kids u gotta luv em

Man, that’s a rough crowd. It’s good to see that Wade doesn’t take himself too seriously over this. Play long enough and eventually you’re going to get slammed on. It’s better to just roll with it as opposed to trying to pretend it didn’t happen (see: James, LeBron v. Crawford, Jordan).

But if you’re Dwyane Wade or anyone else drawing a paycheck from the Miami Heat, you need this to be the last time we’re talking about something like this. Yes, Taj Gibson is playing very well so far in the playoffs, but if he (or any other members of Chicago’s “Bench Mob”) start making too many headlines, it probably means curtains for you.

his son is very observant while watching his dad play basketball. gotta lover this little one with coming out with gibson…..lol! kids are great!! so yhappy to hear that dwayne received custody of his boys. with the way things are today boys especially need their dads in their lives. i also commend dwayne in being positive by allowing their mom to still be part of their lives. dwayne, god bless you and your children.
