A lot of shooting and stabbings of athletes this spring. The latest is former NFL player R.W. McQuarters who played with the Bears and 49ers most notably in the league.
It appears it was a botched robbery or car jacking attempt, here are the details.
Former NFL player R.W. McQuarters was shot early Saturday as he left a friend’s Tulsa residence, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said Sunday afternoon.
McQuarters, who graduated from Booker T. Washington and played football at Oklahoma State, was at a friend’s house in the 1200 block of North Boston Avenue when he walked outside the residence and saw a man standing outside wearing a ski mask, said Tulsa police Sgt. Bill Goree.
The good news is that McQuarters was not seriously hurt and his injuries are not life threatening.
Thoughts and prayers going McQuarters.
