Georgia’s Travis Leslie Thinks He’s Better Than Grizzlies’ Tony Allen

by | Posted on Friday, May 20th, 2011

I really like the Maryland Terrapins, I cheer for the Louisville Cardinals, but when it comes down to it I’m a true Georgia Bulldog fan. Since I am a Georgia fan…I am a Travis Leslie fan, but for the life of me I can’t understand why Travis, a person who has not even been drafted to the NBA, is talking reckless about Memphis Grizzlies’ player Tony Allen.

At an NBA draft combine Travis allegedly told draftepress.com this:

“I feel like I’m a little better player than Tony Allen. Hopefully I can be compared to someone better. He’s basically known for is D.”

Come on Travis! I like you…I really do. I’ve seen your athleticism; I know that you have the potential to be a great player in the NBA, but right now that’s all it is…..potential. You will probably be lucky to be drafted in the first round.

Of course Tony was not too happy with this comment. Allen took to twitter to and made several remarks in reference to Leslie’s comment including this one

Perhaps Travis Leslie becomes a better offensive player than Tony Allen and half the defensive player that Tony Allen is, but maybe he should hold off on making enemies until he actually plays a NBA game.
