Probably not since he was at Duke has anyone considered using a box-in-one defense on Shane Battier. But that’s nearly what kept the Memphis Grizzlies forward from getting to practice on Friday. Battier was stuck in an elevator between floors for about 25 minutes and tweeted about his experience.
As I sit here in the elevator that is stuck between floors and wait for the fire dept to spring me, it is a good time to reflect on the Many blessings in my life, most notably working elevators.
Needless to say, Battier was freed without incident and will be available to play in today’s Game Three against Oklahoma City. Hopefully being boxed in will help him box out against the Thunder’s big men.
