There are three conspiracy theories I do believe about the NBA.
1- The Refs do cheat.
2- Jordan’s 1st retirement wasn’t just because he wanted to try new things.
3- The envelope was frozen in the 1985 NBA Draft Lottery to make sure the Knicks got Patrick Ewing.
If you believe Timberwolves GM the draft lottery rigging is still ongoing. Check out the quote.
“I did tell (Jazz general manager) Kevin O’Connor when the three of us, you stand on that elevated area, as soon as the 14-year-old kid joined us we were toast,” Wolves President of Basketball Operations David Kahn said. “There was no way the 14-year-old was about to be denied in a league that has a habit of compelling story lines.”
Considering how the City of Cleveland has reacted like a baby mama who baller just left them for a Kardashian, they could use a bit of good news.
Having the 1st and 4th pick in the NBA Draft doesn’t replace the King of the Receding Hairline, but it is at least a start. The Timberwolves should be more concerned about their own failed drafting (anyone seen Ricky Rubio lately) than worrying about if the NBA didn’t want to upset a 14 year kid who has already had a pretty hard life.
With that being said crazier things have happened in the NBA.
