Bethanie Mattek-Sands Wears Lady Gaga Outfit at Wimbledon, Trumps Venus?

If you thought Venus Williams’ tennis outfit pushed the envelope in Monday’s Wimbledon matchup, you’ll probably think it was pretty conservative after seeing the Lady Gaga-esque outfit worn by Bethanie Mattek-Sands today.

during the first round match xxxxx on Day One of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on June 20, 2011 in London, England.

The 26-year-old American tennis player donned a fringed jacket, decorated in a dozen tennis balls on each sleeve in her first round matchup. Under the jacket, she wore a one-armed skintight dress with knee high socks.

Known as the Lady Gaga of tennis, Mattek-Sands didn’t stop short to outshine Venus Williams and her outfit that was the talk of Wimbledon before today. The outfit was actually designed by Lady Gaga’s designer, Alex Noble.

The outfit triggered laughter from the crowd, but Mattek-Sands game was the joke in the end after losing to Japan’s Misaki Doi 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.

It was a clever outfit, but let me know what you think. Better or worse than Venus?

  1. Very interesting details you have noted , thankyou for putting up. “Women have been trained to speak softly and carry a lipstick. Those days are over.” by Bella Abzug.

  2. I have realized some new issues from your web site about pcs. Another thing I have always imagined is that computers have become a product that each household must have for several reasons. They supply you with convenient ways to organize the home, pay bills, go shopping, study, listen to music and perhaps watch tv series. An innovative technique to complete all of these tasks is with a laptop computer. These desktops are mobile ones, small, strong and easily transportable.
