DeShawn Stevenson Says Players & Coaches Offering Advice On How To Beat Heat

It’s been said repeatedly during these NBA Finals that because of the national Heat hate going on that the Dallas Mavericks have become “America’s Team”. If you believe what DeShawn Stevenson told the Dallas Morning News, the Mavs are the NBA’s team as well.

“The guys that I deal with, they say a lot of things about how to guard and the way to play them,” Stevenson said about other players whose seasons are over that he regularly talks to. “And coach said a lot of coaches called him about how to play the Miami Heat. I just think a lot of people want to see us win this thing.”

Stevenson went on to say that he believes most people turned against Miami because of their continual showboating and bragging since last summer – once again, a pretty common sentiment for most people outside of South Florida. After video surfaced of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James seemingly mocking Dirk Nowitzki’s illness, it’s going to be hard for them to earn any sympathy.

  • It’s a shame that so many people hate on the Miami Heat to the point that other teams would basically cheat ( that’s right collaborating with other coaches is pretty much cheating) and spread rumors about Lebron James’s girlfriend cheating on him. Enough is enough. I hope the Miami Heat wins this series so all the Heat haters will be disappointed.

  • excellent submit, very informative. I’m wondering why the other experts of this sector don’t notice this. You must continue your writing. I’m confident, you’ve a great readers’ base already!
