DeShawn Stevenson Says Players & Coaches Offering Advice On How To Beat Heat

It’s been said repeatedly during these NBA Finals that because of the national Heat hate going on that the Dallas Mavericks have become “America’s Team”. If you believe what DeShawn Stevenson told the Dallas Morning News, the Mavs are the NBA’s team as well.

“The guys that I deal with, they say a lot of things about how to guard and the way to play them,” Stevenson said about other players whose seasons are over that he regularly talks to. “And coach said a lot of coaches called him about how to play the Miami Heat. I just think a lot of people want to see us win this thing.”

Stevenson went on to say that he believes most people turned against Miami because of their continual showboating and bragging since last summer – once again, a pretty common sentiment for most people outside of South Florida. After video surfaced of Dwyane Wade and LeBron James seemingly mocking Dirk Nowitzki’s illness, it’s going to be hard for them to earn any sympathy.

  • DeShawn Stevenson is garbage. A damn shame that these people hate these guys so much. Look at what Kobe did. Kobe is the most cockiest dude in the league….raped a chic, cheated on his wife, snitched on his best friend. seriously??

    • actually he only cheated on his wife and snitched on his best friend, the rape was some bs that some skank used as a means to get money

      • Best friend?? Who?? You mean colleague.

    • When were shaq and kobe ever best friends?

  • DeShawn really really really needs to STFU until the series is over.
