First Look at University of Central Arkansas’s Purple Football Field

Truth be told, I wouldn’t even know there was a University of Central Arkansas if Scottie Pippen never became…well Scottie Pippen. Now there’s something new to identify the Conway, Arkansas school. The UCA Bears have went the Boise State route and decided to add some color to their field.
I don’t know if this will increase home field advantage for the Bears, but it will most definitely increase attention paid to the Southland Conference school. When asked about his alma mater’s new field, Scottie Pippen said, “Boise State has the greatest colored field, but Central Arkansas could be the most colorful field of all time.” Just kidding, I had to get one in.
