That was my initial reaction reading this.
No matter how people in Ohio try to spin it, in the end Lebron still won. While losing in the NBA Finals, I don’t think anyone with a rational mind say that he made the “wrong” decision leaving Cleveland. Consider the way the Cavs collapsed after his departure makes that perfectly clear.
He might have made wrong decision not going to Chicago instead of Miami, but leaving the Cavs long term was the right thing to do.
The Dallas Mavericks are the NBA Champions and no matter how hard the state of Ohio tries they have zero affiliation with that title.
Without naming James, Kasich’s resolution commends the Mavs for their “loyalty, integrity and teamwork.” He also makes them honorary Ohioans.
The resolution singles out MVP Dirk Nowitzki for choosing to re-sign with the Mavericks and forego free agency in the summer of 2010, “thus remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career.”
I have said it many times and I will say it again, Cavs fan need to get over it. They are like bitter ex girlfriends who are getting joy out of watching their ex boyfriend break his leg in a car accident.
It is truly pathetic, Lebron is gone and his isn’t coming back, concentrate on improving the Cavs from being laughingstock of the league.
