Kerry Rhodes, Safety for the Arizona Cardinals does not believe in thongs.

Rhodes has been pursuing the modeling angle as of late and doing well. It’s a smart career choice for Rhodes, especially after being let go by the New York Jets because he was “too Hollywood”. That would be a negative comment to most (please refer to Joakim Noah) but Rhodes embraces the label and all that comes with it. Rhodes pearly whites will be gracing Essence magazine, he’s been on the cover of hip hop albums and is currently filming his third, yes THIRD, movie. Rhodes most recent shoot was for GQ and he explained that he really enjoyed the experience and felt like a “Black Ken Doll”.

There is a caveat to Rhodes Hollywood lifestyle. The son of Jubrella and Jerome Rhodes of Bessemer, Alabama has a strict no thongs policy. Rhodes’ was interviewed after the GQ photo shoot modeling Lacoste’s upcoming line. Somehow, thongs came into the conversation? How they got to discussing man thongs is beyond me, however Rhodes has a definite point of view. According to Kerry, “No! I love most things Euro, but I can’t understand the thong and I definitely won’t wear it.”

Ooook then. Now that I know that Kerry is a boxer or brief kind of guy I can rest easy. I mean, not every man can pull off a thongs. Ok, let’s be honest, no man should really try to pull off a thong. Wait, why are we discussing this? Please end the lockout.
