Crazy and bizarre are usually words to describe antics of Dennis Rodman or Craig Sager’s closet, but critics of Venus Williams are using these words to describe her latest fashion “faux pas” on Monday.
Despite making a huge splash in her return by defeating Akgul Amanmuradova (after a 3rd time of looking up how to spell this name) 6-3, 6-1 in just 59 minutes of her first round Wimbledon match, Williams was judged on her toga-like outfit.
Williams claims that the outfit is “now” but most are saying it’s never. The tennis star sported a debut piece from her clothing line eleVen that was a one-piece, continuing her string of “eclectic” clothing during tennis matches. She will match up next against 40-year-old Kimiko Date Krumm in the second round, which will have all of her critics in suspense of what she will wear next.
You be the judge. Now, or never?
