Bulls Center Joakim Noah to Play For French National Team
It’s not exactly what you think. This isn’t another domino that’s falling down after the first piece, Deron Williams, announced he will play with a Turkish basketball team if the NBA doesn’t get their act together.
According to ESPN Chicago, the Bulls starting center will play for Team France in the Euro Championship in August and September, which will in no way affect his status with the Bulls.
Noah has dual citizenship in the US and France. He’s expected to be playing with the team to stay in shape while the lockout drags throughout the summer. Noah only played 48 games this year due to an injury, averaging 11.7 points and 10.4 rebounds.
The first game for Team France is Aug. 31 against Latvia.
