The name Matthew Bellamy maybe familiar to you because soon after Lebron made his “Decision”, Bellamy showed up at a Cleveland Indians game in a Lebron Miami Heat Jersey.
It became so heated (no pun intended) in the stands he had to be escorted out of the stadium.
There was geniune fear for his safety then. Fast forward to today and Bellamy is in the hospital after being attacked outside of a bar.
An incident report obtained by Fox 8 News says that Matthew Bellamy, 30, was brutally beaten in the parking lot of a bar located at 2065 East Oldgate Road on July 25, around 3:00 a.m.
According to the report, witnesses told police that Bellamy and three females had just left the bar when Robert Horton, 23, pulled into the parking lot and jumped out of his vehicle. The witnesses say that Horton began punching Bellamy from behind and knocked him to the ground, at which time Horton continued punching Bellamy in the face.
The report says that the females tried to stop Horton from beating Bellamy, but they could not, and one of the women called police.
Once police were called Horton drove from the scene.
Bellamy was taken Firelands Hospital by the Sandusky Fire Department. The report says that Bellamy’s eye was swollen shut and one of his teeth had been knocked out.
He was then air lifted to St. Vincent’s hospital in Toledo where he is currently listed in fair condition.
No word on what prompted the attack, but it was premediated. Hopefully it wasn’t because Bellamy is a Lebron fan, that would be pretty sick if it was.
We wish him a full recovery and hope they find his attacker soon.
