Nets Guard Sasha Vujacic Signs With Turkish Anadolu Efes Istanbul

It looks like there is no stopping these NBA players from playing overseas during this lockout. Yahoo! Sports is reporting that New Jersey guard Sasha Vujacic will follow his fellow Nets teammate Deron Williams to Turkey.

Anadolu Efes said Friday the 27-year old Slovenian guard agreed to a one-year deal with an optional second year. It did not say whether Vujacic has an option to return to New Jersey if the NBA lockout is lifted.

Vujacic averaged 11.4 points in 56 games last season for the Nets. He joined the Nets in a three-team deal in December from the Los Angeles Lakers. He played there for six seasons, winning two NBA titles.

Not surprised by this move. Sasha is one of those reserve players that wants to shine somewhere so he’s taking his talents to Turkey to get that shine and get some extra cash as well.

Stay tune for more news on NBA players taking their talent overseas.

  • Super story it is surely. My girlfriend has been awaiting for this update.

  • I initially relocated to South Florida 5 calendar years ago (2007). I stayed down here for about 9 months at that time and proceeded to wander around the country. Within a year of departing I decided to come back for good, it was the fishing that called me back. Presently there is nothing like it, if you have never ever fished South Florida before long you are missing out– that simple.
