When you look at Kevin Durant you see a clean-cut, humble kid. People, particularly the mainstream audience, like KD because he doesn’t portray the stereotypical image of the “thug-out,” tatted up basketball player that most players get labeled (i.e. Allen Iverson, DeShawn Stevenson, J.R. Smith).
Well it looks like KD had them fool.
Jocksandstilettojill.com posted a picture of KD with his shirt off during a promotional trip to China. And as you can see Kevin really like tattoos.
Many believed Kevin didn’t have any because he doesn’t have them on his arms, legs, neck, or other areas that the uniform doesn’t cover. But as you can see he has tattoos and plenty of them.
He actually gave us a little glimpse during Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.
How did I miss that.
But I understand what Kevin is trying to do. He is trying to appeal to all audiences, not just one audience. And the folks in the mainstream audience (middle age/old white people) aren’t too fond of tattoos.
So getting all of his tattoos on his chest and stomach was a business move on Kevin’s part.
Smart Kevin. Really Smart.
