PGA golfer Ricky Barnes was the guest of honor at the Middle Market Open National Kidney Foundation golf tournament in Chicago this week but wasn’t honored by everyone in attendance.
Barnes was a victim of theft at the tournament, having his clubs and an $8000 watch stolen out of his trunk. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Barnes put his belonging in his car at around 4 p.m. He returned 25 minutes later to his wallet, clubs and watch were gone.
The clubs are estimated to be worth $3500 and the watch was a Chrome Breitling Bentley watch worth approximately $8000, authorities said.
Chicago police are currently investigating the theft and are using forensics to gather evidence. I guess Barnes forgot where he was. Being from Chicago, I know that you can’t leave your valuables in your car. This ain’t Kansas, Ricky!
