Let me be clear DUI is a serious charge and Prater also left the scene of an accident.
Prater should be punish for these actions, but the story about the stripper is much more interesting, so lets take a look at that courtesy of Deadspin.
Broncos kicker Matt Prater was charged with drunkenly backing his Chevy TrailBlazer into a silver sedan parked outside of a Hyatt Suites in Greenwood Village last week. Witnesses reported the driver then went into the hotel, which is where things get sexy.
When police went into the hotel lobby, they met a woman who said she had been a passenger in the TrailBlazer.
According to the arrest reports, the woman told police she and a man named Matt P. had just left Shotgun Willie’s, where she worked. She could not remember his last name.
After the accident, she and the man went into the hotel to get a room, but the hotel was full. She said she did not know where he went, but she was waiting for a cab ride home.
The police ends up finding Prater at a LaQuinta (a bit of a step down from the Hyatt Suites).
The question begs what is proper protocol when you take a stripper to the hotel and the hotel is full.
Do you ditch her like Prater? Do you drive her back to the strip club? Do you get busy in the Trailblazer? Do you take her to a worse hotel like the Laquinta? Do you call Lawrence Taylor? What exactly do you do?
Even though she is a stripper she is still a human being, you shouldn’t leave her stranded. I am curious to see how strippers and men would have handle the situation.
Prater should have just have went to the LaQuinta at the beginning, it was him trying to be fancy which is what got him in trouble in the first place.
It is always something going on with the Broncos.
