Zach Randolph was one of the feel good stories of the NBA Playoffs. It was a comeback story because Randolph has had a flurry of on and off the court incidents that could have derailed his career.
Most thought that was all behind him, but maybe not.
Detectives from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Sunday morning searched the West Linn home of former Portland Trailblazer star Zach Randolph, police said Sunday.
Randolph, who is not considered a suspect, was home while the search took place, police said.
The victim in the assault, whose name has not been released, was allegedly beaten by several people with a pool cue.
The brother of the victim spoke with KGW saying he and his brother are old friends of Randolph’s and are extremely “disappointed” with their friend.
“I am very, very disappointed,” said the brother. “Zach was there and should have stopped it. He could have stopped it.’
Nothing like watching someone get beat with a pool cue. It should be noted that Zach isn’t a suspect, just that he might have known and hid the suspects.
Either way, maybe Randolph should go play in the Drew League or something, to occupy his time.
