Remember with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders swimsuit video was as popular as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue?
It was about the last time the Cowboys made it to the Super Bowl.
But they are back in the news for hiring the first Australian Cheerleader.
FROM the Manly Sea Eagles to the Dallas Cowboys, Angela Nicotera has become the first Australian to make an NFL cheerleading squad.
The northern beaches glamour beat 500 wannabe Cowboy cheerleaders, across a gruelling eight-week audition process, to make the 34-strong squad.
Monique Carroll, who mentored Ms Nicotera at the Sea Eagles’ cheer squad, announced the news today and said the 26-year-old was in shock.
“I just got off the phone to her and she’s just beyond excited … she’s in shock and can’t believe this has actually happened,” Mrs Carroll said.
Good luck Ms. Nicotera, please tell Tony Romo to turn his hat on forwards and not backwards.
