Terrelle Pryor to Play QB in Raiders’ Final Preseason Game

Once the Raiders picked Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft and Goodell gave out the five game suspension, things became a lot clearer for the former Ohio State Buckeyes’ QB. However, as soon as Pryor signed and joined the team, many wondered if they would see him at a different position after his impressive 40 yard dash.

Luckily for Pryor, or TPeezy as he calls himself, he will get the chance to show what he can do as a QB in the Raiders’ final preseason game against Seattle. This has been confirmed by Head Coach Hue Jackson, as reported by CBSSports.com:

Whatever, for those that want to see Pryor as a quarterback, you’re in luck — Raiders head coach Hue Jackson told Michelle Tafoya of NBC on Sunday night that Pryor, who didn’t play in the third preseason game against New Orleans, will begin his career with Oakland as a quarterback.

“We’re gonna start there first and see where we go,” Jackson said.

All Pryor wants and needs is a chance and he will be given that opportunity against the Seahawks. Should he turn in an impressive performance, he could make himself a relevant part of the Raiders’ future plans at the QB position. Usually, starters don’t get much playing time in the final preseason game, so this should be the perfect time for Pryor to shine.

  • What a stupid headline, what other position should he be playing?

    • if you’ve followed Pryor since he was drafted, you would know that his excellent 40 times had some wondering whether he would play another position other than QB seeing that the Raiders have Jason Campbell at the helm already.
