Once again, a couple of Bengals are in trouble with the law. Police in Kentucky are saying that a high-grade of marijuana was shipped to Bengals wide receiver Jerome Simpson’s home. Teammate, offensive lineman Anthony Collins, was also at the home.
From Deadspin.com:
An operation by state narcotics agents that tracked a shipment of high-grade marijuana from Northern California led police to a suburban Kentucky house and two National Football League players, law enforcement authorities said. Cincinnati Bengals teammates Jerome Simpson and Anthony Collins, both 25, were at Simpson’s home in Crestview Hills, Ky. on Tuesday, when a package allegedly containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana arrived at the house in what authorities called a controlled delivery.
Reports are saying that no arrest have made but the two were detained and questioned. I pretty sure the folks in the Bengals front office are cringing. I’m starting to think this organization is cursed. There’s not a season that goes by where a Bengal doesn’t get in trouble with the law.
Luckily for them and the Bengals they weren’t arrested. We don’t know the whole situation but I hope Collins and Simpson will be careful from now on and stay away from trouble.
