Bill Polian and the Colts confirmed that for the first time in over a decade, they will have a quarterback other than Peyton Manning at the helm. Although this has been apparent for a while, the entire nation just received official confirmation today. While the Colts organization waits for Manning’s neck to heal, they have their hopes pinned on veteran QB Kerry Collins to get the job done. When the news broke that Manning would miss the season opener, there was no timetable given for his return.
But now we are hearing, according to Fox’s Jay Glazer, that Manning had another surgical procedure recently and will miss the entire 2011 season.
