This story seems a bit odd, the police are investigating but as of right now no foul play in suspected. Just seems strange no one notice a dead man in the pool.
Here are the details.
A man has been found dead at the bottom of the swimming pool at the home of Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith.
Fort Bend County sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel says the suspected drowning was reported about 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Smith’s home just north of the Houston suburb of Richmond. He says foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy has been ordered.
Haenel said the dead man was reportedly a 37-year-old family friend of Smith’s from the nearby suburb of Katy, and Smith had hosted a birthday party Saturday night.
Birthday party on Saturday night, dead man in pool Sunday morning? If it was a tragic accident that is very unfortunate and thoughts and prayers go out to the dead man’s family. There were about 100 people at the party, with some of the guest staying overnight. The dead man was last seen at 2am until he was found at the bottom of pool in the morning.
The police should definitely do a thorough investigation to make sure nothing is being covered up.
