Former Ravens Chris McAlister Claims He is Broke & Living With Parents

Can’t say that I am surprised, the rap on Chris McAlister was that he was a free spender and not very good with his money.

He was a very talented cornerback, but mentally he was a bit off, never took full advantage of his talents. He is claiming now he is broke to get out of paying child support to his ex wife.

The ex-Baltimore Ravens defensive superstar has just filed new documents in his child support war with his ex-wife Marlene in the hopes of lowering his $11,000 per month obligation.

In the docs, Chris — a 1st round NFL draft pick in 1999 who played in the league for 10 years — states, “I have been unemployed since 2009. I have no income.”

He adds, “I live in my parent’s home. My parents provide me with my basic living expenses as I do not have the funds to do so.”

McAlister was only married to Marlene for 13 months — but she claims Chris ended the relationship in 2009 when she got pregnant and refused to get an abortion.

Very classy of McAlister if true to leave his pregnant wife because she wouldn’t get an abortion.  Even Tiki Barber thinks that is cold.

McAlister made close to $50 million in his ten year playing career, so I hope he is exaggerating about having to stay with his parents and being dead broke.

The majority of that $50 million came over of the last 7 years. Meaning he blew a little over $7 million a year. Who knows what is the real truth, but whatever it may be McAlister is just another example of an athlete who thought they would be rich forever, but was sadly mistaken.

One more thing I would like to mention is that rather than trying to fit all your online degree lessons on times that you complete work (since most people are tired when they get home), try to have most of your sessions on the weekends and only one or two courses in weekdays, even if it means taking some time off your end of the week. This is fantastic because on the saturdays and sundays, you will be a lot more rested in addition to concentrated upon school work. Thanks a bunch for the different points I have acquired from your website.
