When Charles Barkley said the $100k that the NBA fined Michael Jordan was just a drop in the bucket, he wasn’t kidding. Jordan has his hands in everything from clothing to ownership of an NBA team. Now, Jordan has put his name on another business venture on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
Jordan opened up Michael Jordan’s steakhouse this week at a grand opening with other athletes in attendance. Jordan was escorted in to a private booth where he was joined by former teammate Scottie Pippen and his wife, “Real Housewives of Miami” cast member, Larsa Pippen. Jordan addressed the crowd in attendance, which included Chicago Bear J’Marcus Webb and former Buffalo Bills head coach Marc Levy.
“I want to say to the Chicago people, thank you for your support,” Jordan said. “Ever since I came to this city in 1984, you guys have taken me in like I was one of your own.
“I hope you guys enjoy yourself here. I think you guys are going to be very happy with the food. I think you’re going to be very happy with the hospitality … Once again, it’s always great to be back in Chicago and to enjoy the warmth that I feel every time I’m in Chicago.”
Not too many Black women are gonna like that picture Mike & Scottie…Jungle Fever ain’t too popular around these parts.
