Patriots Cut Pro Bowl Safety Brandon Meriweather

Interesting stat from Profootballtalk who has confirmed through a league source that the Patriots have cut Brandon Meriwweather.
Meriweather has went to 2 straight pro bowl appearances and has appeared in every game that he has played with the Patriots. That wasn’t enough to keep him off the chopping block.
Meriweather is a talented player, but he has had incidents both on and off the field (some dangerous late hits & some run ins with the law).
With that being said if he is available he would be a major upgrade for a lot of teams, he won’t be out of work long.
