Carson Palmer on Bringing Terrell Owens to the Raiders…Nah We Good

I think Carson Palmer has enough pull in Oakland that if he wanted the Raiders to take a look at T.O. they would, but while trying to be politically correct he in essence said he doesn’t want Owens anywhere near the Bay.

So you can cross the Raiders off the possible destinations for T.O list.

“T.O. and I had a great working relationship, he had one of his most successful years over the past five or six years, a lot of production and he was a great teammate in Cincinnati,” Palmer told 95.7 The Game.  “The problem is that for him to get here there’s not anybody that we could let go, we have a stable of young horses that can run and guys that can just move, very young, very inexperienced but tons of potential and it’s tough to give up a young guy with a lot of potential for a guy that’s got a lot of history in the league that’s in his late 30s, so I can’t see him coming here but I had a good time playing with him and he’s an explosive player himself.”

As the homie Mike Florio stated on ProFootballTalk that was a nice statement by Palmer, but the Raiders employ 27 year old Derek Hagen who isn’t exactly striking fear into defensive coordinators throughout the league.

What is more likely, is that Palmer who has had to deal with OchoCinco and T.O. prefers to have young guys who just listen to what he says and doesn’t talk back.

He could have just been honest and said that, but I understand why he chose to be tactful.

LOL. I wonder who will pick him up

  2. It strikes me as poor journalism for any author to rely on his memory rather than–gasp—check his facts… Give me a break. I guess citing his memory has one advantage, it allows Dylan to needlessly insert himself into the article. tips on make up
