This is simple. The Lions needed another running back after the latest concussion/injury to Jahvid Best and the Eagles needed to not give Ronnie Brown the ball at the goal line.
So what happens?
A trade ensues. Before the NFL 4pm trade deadine, the Lions give up Jerome Harrison (who played for Philly last year) and a 7th rounder for former Pro Bowl running back Ronnie Brown.
Brown’s been a productive player before and the Lions seem destined for the playoffs. If I’m Brown, I would be elated to move up the standings.
Now all he has to do is secure the ball. He’ll face the wrath of Jim Schwartz if he lets this happen again.
