Roy Williams Says Ford Field Was Never That Loud When He Was a Lion

Roy Williams greatest contribution to society?

He is the one who coined Calvin Johnson “Megatron”. Now he is wondering why he didn’t get that type of love when he was in the D.

Williams, who was the Lions’ first-round draft pick in 2004 and was traded to the Cowboys during the 2008 season, said something is different in Detroit these days. Williams remarked after the game that in returning to Detroit, he was surprised to hear how loud the fans were.

I’ve never heard it like this,” Williams said after the Lions beat the Bears on Monday. “We were 6-2 one year but it still never sounded like this.”

Williams failed to mention they lost 7 of their last 8 games that season.  But you know Roy doesn’t sweat the minor details like making sure handed catches and playing up to his salary.
