This is a horrible story.

Not a lot of details are known, but Uekman just played in Arkansas win against Miss State this Saturday.

The Arkansas Razorbacks football program was stunned Sunday when it was announced that redshirt freshman tight end Garrett Uekman was found dead in his dorm room overnight. The news was confirmed by Adam Alter of KNWA/KARK on Twitter on Sunday afternoon, and Alter said the team is holding a meeting at 1:30 pm Central Time.

The Arkansas athletic department has yet to comment on the matter, but a statement is expected soon.

There are, as yet, no details released about the circumstances surrounding Uekman’s death.
