I have heard some form of this statement 100 times and 100 times the fight never happens, so I am still skeptical. The only difference is the words are coming directly from Manny Pacquiao’s mouth.

If Manny wants to fight Floyd he can make it happen.

No matter how much Bob Arum doesn’t want the fight to happen, if Manny pushes the issue it will get done. Here is what he had to say.

WBO welterweight king Manny Pacquiao claims there are only a few “little things” to sort out before he signs to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr in Las Vegas on May 5 next year.

“We are ready,” Pacquiao told abs-cbnnews.com. “If it pushes through, once he signs the contract then I’ll sign the contract. Only the little things are being worked out and negotiations are almost done.”

It appears that everyone in Pacquiao’s camp wants Mayweather, but until there is an actual contract signed I would not start booking flights and getting your making it rain money together.  Also I don’t like the comment saying when Floyd signs, I will signs.  Sign it together at a joint press conference, stop with these games.

I would say the comments from Pacquiao’s team are encouraging, but definitely not a done deal.
