Nationals Catcher Wilson Ramos Kidnapped While In Venezuela

You think this only happens in the movies and TV, but in other countries this happens a lot unfortunately.

It is one thing athletes need to be aware of when they are playing overseas and protect themselves accordingly.  Here are the details.

Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was kidnapped at his home in Maracay, Venezuela, according to Denver Post’s bilingual website, VivaColorado.com.

Ramos was playing winter baseball for Tigres de Aragua BBC. According to Venezuela’s El Nacional, he was kidnapped by four gunmen and they have not contacted the catcher’s family.

Will be praying for his safe return.
