On Monday Pop Warner star running back for the Lakewood Lancers Donnovan Hill took a hit to the head that fractured his spine during a game.
Doctors are worried that the young man from Mission Viejo may be paralyzed.
The Lancers’ head coach told KTLA news that while Hill was laying on the field waiting to be taken to the hospital he told his mother and grandparents not worry about him and that he will be just fine.
Hill’s mother said that her son is putting on a brave face as he awaits to undergoes surgery.
The running back was being heavily recruited by private schools.
