I know inside the pages there will be a lot written about Jerry Sandusky (I hope at least) and I know that Sports Illustrated is a “sports magazine”, so I get having Paterno on the cover but……………
One of those mini headlines should have been about Sandusky. If you are going to spotlight Joe Paterno’s legacy and the future of the University, you have to include the MONSTER that caused all of this in the first place.
Sandusky was an assistant coach for many years at Penn State and still had contact with the football program, so you can’t say there isn’t a sports angle.
I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but before you get to Joe Paterno and the others who turned a blind eye you have to make sure people understand Jerry Sandusky is the one who should be the focus. The children Sandusky molested should be of more concern to you than Paterno’s legacy or the future of Penn State.
Just remember that when you get your copy of SI in the mail.
