People have special relationships with their colleges.
I know personally I have one with mine The Ohio State University. It is hard to explain, but when you spend your most impressionable years in one place there is a certain connection.
When OSU was going through its problems during the summer it bothered me, you don’t want your school to suffer in any way.
What is happening at Penn State is 100x worse than what happened at OSU, USC or anything like that, so I can’t imagine how that community is feeling right now.
When Matt Millen talks about “handling it himself” I believe him. Hopefully all the criminal actions that took place are dealt with and Joe Paterno regardless of what he knew or didn’t know will have to take the fall because this happened under his watch.
Let me get this straight. A grown man walks in the football players locker room. He witnesses a grown man having anal sex with a li ttle boy (about 10 yrs old) He leaves him in there and tells the coach (Joe Paterno) what we saw. No one runs back in the locker room and grabs the child, no one calls the police, no one does anything but make sure their buts were covered (no pun intended). Please explain to me how a graduate student was able to get to the coach without going thru ten other people. Oh yeah the graduate student was showing his Dad around, he witnessed the rape too. No one cared about the child. No One.
