Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source close to the situation told Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550 in Buffalo that wide reciever Stevie Johnson’s asking price placed in to the Buffalo Bills during negotiations was an annual salary of $7.5 million. The source indicates that there have been no contract offers issued to Johnson from the Bills over the course of the past month.

The source also said that the Bills did not mention the idea of a franchise tag for the wide receiver at any point while the negotiations were still going on, or even since they have subsided.
