I have to stress this before I get the ton of bible thumper emails, I have no problem with Tim Tebow or his religious beliefs.
My problem is with stuff like this.
Broncos QB Tim Tebow is winning games because of God, pure and simple … this according to one of Tim’s Colorado pastors.
Pastor Wayne Hanson — who runs Summit Church in Castle Rock, CO where Tim’s dad often speaks — tells TMZ God is actively intervening in Denver Broncos football games … and aiding Tim on the field because of his strong faith.
Hanson tells us, “It’s not luck. Luck isn’t winning 6 games in a row. It’s favor. God’s favor.”
Pastor Hanson adds, “God has blessed his hard work.”
We asked Hanson if Tebow would be winning games if he wasn’t such a strong believer — and the pastor replied, “No, of course not.”
I don’t know Aaron Rodgers’ religion, but if he was an atheist then what?
Ben Roethlisberger has been to three Super Bowls including one after being accused of strong arming multiple women so what does that mean?
The 90s Cowboys were doing things the Devil would blush at, care to explain that?
Tom Brady left his pregnant girlfriend to get with another woman and Patriots are doing just fine.
What did Marion Barber do to not have God’s Favor? I know for a fact Barber is one of the nicest athletes on the planet, so is he not favored because he rocks dreads?
You see how stupid all of that sounds? Simply put the Broncos are winning game because their team are making plays, it isn’t divine intervention it is on the field execution.
Don’t make it bigger than it is.
I am a believer, but I believe in Tebow’s ability on the field to make plays late, not as some sort of divine savior.
