Several contending teams have inquired about the availability of Paul Pierce, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The contracts of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are up after this season. Pierce, on the other hand, has two years and $32 million left on his deal. If the Celtics are going to move forward with rebuilding, they’d be wise to trade Pierce and become major players in the free agency/trade market. They are currently 4-8, losers of five straight games. However, the Celtics have shown no signs that they are willing to give up on this season.

  1. A.C says:

The old celtics are going to play at nice steady pace and pick it up at the end. They don’t need to be a top seed. If they can grab a 5-7 seed they’ll be in good position. Slow and steady….

The media pulled a similar stunt last year with the heat. When the heat were struggling, they “had” to trade chris bosh. lol
