As we reported a couple of days ago, it was looking more likely that Mayweather was going to fight Cotto, now it is official.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Wednesday voted 5-0 to grant Floyd Mayweather Jr. a one-fight license to face Miguel Cotto on May 5 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
During his licensing hearing in front of the commission in Las Vegas, Mayweather Jr. told the panel under questioning that he had a deal in place to face junior middleweight titlist Cotto on May 5 at the MGM Grand.
Look for Manny Pacquiao to face Tim Bradley on June 9th.
