NBA Dunk Contest Participants Announced..No Blake Griffin, No Lebron James

If you were expecting to see Clippers forward Blake Griffin defend his spectacular dunk contest title from last season, then the 2012 participants may be a bit disappointing to you. Thursday the names of the players who will compete in this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk contest were released and, in all honesty, the field leaves much to be desired:

Chase Budinger, Houston Rockets

Paul George, Indiana Pacers

Iman Shumpert, NY Knicks

Derrick Williams, Minnesota Timberwolves
