Randy Moss Says Cris Carter Should be in HOF, CC in turn Says Moss “Quits” on Teams
Randy Moss has been doing some very ummmmm interesting UStream videos since announcing he wanted to return to the NFL. Last night in between picking his nose, he took some time out to address Cris Carter not getting into the Hall of Fame.
He was very supportive of Carter and said what we all think, that CC should be enshrined.
I will assume CC wasn’t watching because he had some interesting things to say about Moss’ comeback.
“The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing,” Carter told ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning, via ESPN.com. “It’s not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it’s the elephant in the room. It’s that thing called quit.
“And Randy, not like any other superstar I’ve met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to address that. That’s what [Bill] Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn’t going to have it.
“But Randy, when things don’t go well, like no other player I’ve ever been around or associated with, he has a quit mechanism in him that’s huge. That needs to be addressed before he signs with any team.”
I don’t always agree with Cris Carter, but at least he was speaking honestly and not swayed by his friendship with Moss. The thing about Carter the analyst is at times his bias is so strong it clouds his thoughts.
This time he was very clear in what he was trying to say.
They are valid points and any team will have to take that into consideration if they decide to bring Randy Moss in.
That is why I think the best thing for Moss is to go back to New England, where he is comfortable and they are comfortable with him.
