Greg Oden shouldn’t be thinking about who he wants to play for.
He should be thinking about being able to walk correctly from the rest of his life. I know he doesn’t want to retire, but the long term health of his knees should be the priority not the Indiana Pacers.
His agent affirms that Oden will not retire, and has interested in signing with his hometown Indiana Pacers.
Oden has been on crutches since the Feb. 20 procedure and is expected to remain on them for another five weeks. Conley says Oden briefly contemplated ending his career, but now is fully focused on rehab. Conley says Oden, who will be an unrestricted free agent if he clears waivers Saturday, has expressed interest in playing for the hometown Pacers after he recovers.
