Paid leave is another way of saying paid vacation while we try to think of a legal way to fire you.
Arkansas is trying to cover their tracks for potential lawsuits not just from Dorrell, but the 159 applicants who were turned down for the job she got because she was playing Bed Gammon with Petrino.
Arkansas says Jessica Dorrell, the 25-year-old football department employee whose affair with former football coach Bobby Petrino led to his firing, has been placed on paid leave by the university.
Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player, was a Razorback Foundation fundraiser before her hiring as the football team’s student-athlete development coordinator by Petrino on March 28. Her salary is $55,735.
Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said Petrino gave Dorrell a gift of $20,000 before her hiring.
$55k goes a long way in Arkansas. Seems like a lot for a student athlete development coordinator (nice title, I have no idea what it means though).
If you take the $20k for Petrino and the $55k she received from her job, she was making Athlete jumpoffs child support money.
