Deion wasn’t arrested, but his claims that he didn’t do anything wrong don’t appear to be 100% true.

There is at least some doubt in the police mind that Deion was innocent in the incident.

Former Dallas Cowboys star Deion Sanders has been charged with misdemeanor simple assault in the wake of an altercation with his estranged wife that got her arrested at their mansion in suburban Dallas.

Police issued a statement late Tuesday saying further investigation led to citations against both Sanders and his estranged wife, Pilar, who still live together in a palatial home in Prosper.

Police say the charge doesn’t warrant arrest.

Pilar Sanders was released from Jail today, but has said from the beginning she was assaulted by Deion, not the other way around.  Eventually some facts will come and everyone can make their own determination.
